Metabolic 360° Pilates @ BODYFIRM Studios.
About 360° Pilates
The Metabolic 360° Pilates system at BODYFIRM is the most progressive and advanced form of the original Pilates system. 360° Pilates is the ultimate movement system to help the client burn fat, build lean muscle mass, improve posture and strengthen the entire body.
The best way to fight the post Christmas Fat is to build muscle,
now ladies and gents please do not panic or click to another page, Muscle is not scary, Muscle does not mean you have to look bulky.
Muscle improves your shape and your appearance and Muscle requires more energy to maintain
So how do you gain that lean muscle mass – with Metabolic 360° Pilates.
Metabolic training is ultimately a full body workout that involves multi joint and large muscle movements. The movements are performed in alternating sets, (super sets, circuits etc.) The workout uses short intense bursts ranging from 20 to 60 seconds with minimal rest in between. These bursts can be repeated for 6 up to 10 rounds.
Metabolic training should leave you breathless and sweating if that is not happening then something is wrong, you are not working hard enough
Metabolic training is anaerobic (without oxygen) the intensity with which you work builds strength, muscle and boosts the anaerobic metabolism thus creating a post-workout calorie after-burn for anything up to 48 hour s later.
So you are burning calories even after you are finished your Metabolic 360° Pilates routine
These Metabolic sessions are short and are incorporated within your traditional Pilates class, we use various props as well as bodyweight movements to assist in the fat burning process.
The Metabolic 360° Pilates System has been developed by Master Trainer Joyce Gavin for and is unique to BODYFIRM Pilates Studios
BODYFIRM Studios have a wide range of classes available to suit all levels taught by highly qualified Pilates specialists.
Dont delay and call today to reserve your place and start to work towards a leaner, fitter, stronger and healthier you …. 2012 is your year.

Question-How old are you really ?…
here is a gem of wisdom from Joseph himself .. and how true it is
“The art of contrology (Pilates) proves that the only real guide to your true age lies not in years or how you THINK you feel but as you ACTUALLY are as infallibly indicated by the degree of natural and normal flexibility enjoyed by your spine throughout life.”
So have you moved your spine to day and knocked years off !! Come on and join a Pilates Class and improve the quality of your Life… not many other systems can say that !
Have a great life … Joyce

- Cat to camel – 10 rounds to loosen up that tired spine
- Swan dive – just hold it here and breath – 1 to 2 minutes
- Hundred – just hold and feel the breath going wide and full 1 to 2 minutes
- Rolling ball – stretch and massage your spine 1 minute
- Saw – dont forget to honor centre as you rotate from side to side 1 mintue
- Mermaid 3 repitations but hold each one in strech for 30seconds
- Star - hold for up to 1 minute (if you get tired go onto your forearm )
- Repeat on opposite side
- Plank – hold for 1 to 2 minutes (again if you tire go to forearms)
